Arkanoid

  Unknown       Monday, September 2, 2013
At first glance, this game may look like it has been derived from the good old Pong. Don't be fooled as this game has a cool story - well, at least if you have a hyper imagination. The game was released in Japan on the 26th of December 1986, and sometime in August of 87 in the United States of America.

Arkanoid is a ultra high tech spaceship, "Vaus", bound for destruction and trying to make its escape out of 33 intense brick-breaking levels. Its pilot? You. So, your Vaus just escaped from your doomed mothership. Again, the in-game paddle that you are using is a high tech spaceship called Vaus. The bouncing balls that you are using are really not just some ordinary balls (duh)! They are your basic ultra high tech weapons that will help you pulverize "DOH", the game's boss who looked like a stray Moai straight from Easter Island. My thinking is that these ball-looking projectiles are futuristic weapons and are designed that way to conserve (projectiles) and avoid reloading. As you pave your way through DOH's treacherous dimension, you acquire some powerful weapons that will aide you in your quest. You can get multiple balls, lasers, and some other weirder laser that would gladly vaporize the weirdest minion of DOH.
