Another space shoot 'em up side scrolling video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System that has the looks and feel of playing the 1985 released Gradius. A difficult game to beat.

The story begins somewhere in the vast deep space. As Second Lieutenant Nazal you will need to pave your way through 6 levels of eerie combat while on the alien planet Parasitis. Your alliance ship will drop you off to that planet that looked like a biological Cybertron, and you're on your own.
Your goal actually is to save a princess named Maria and the universe as well. Makes me wonder why there are lots of Princess Maria in video games.

Just like the Gradius game play, some levels in Abadox are in top view format. Let's talk about controls. Navigation is pretty straight forward. You just use your Nintendo Entertainment System's game pad's directional button. Pressing the B button fires your arsenals' ammo to your opponents' ugly faces. The A button, on the other hand, is used for controlling your defense shields.
Just like Gradius or Super Contra, there are flying weapon containers along the way - shoot them and beautiful weapons will be at your disposal. In Abadox Second Lieutenant Nazal is equip with state of the art combat armor that allows him to fly and shoot alien bastards. Well, I didn't see him refuel if my memory serves me right!

There are known codes for this game, which will give you more than enough chance to beat all levels if you don't want to experience its level of difficulty.
They call it INVINCIBILITY, and you do this by tapping these buttons A, A, UP, B, B, DOWN, A, B, then press the START button. You will do this on the Press START screen.

Another popular code is the stage select, and you do this by tapping these buttons (on the press START screen): LEFT, UP, RIGHT, DOWN, UP, RIGHT, LEFT, DOWN, then:
UP to go to stage 2
LEFT to go to stage 3
DOWN to go to stage 4
RIGHT to go to stage 5
SELECT to go to stage 6
B to go to stage 7

Last but not least you may also see the ending of this game by tapping these buttons (on the press START screen): A, A, UP, B, B, DOWN, A B, B, START.

The end is near once you get to face the main boss inside planet Parasitis. That's right, this final boss looked like some sort of maniac waiting to harass Nazal's lovely Princess Maria. All you need to do from here is rip the alien bastard's face and get Princess Maria out of the monstrous planet of Parasitis and you're done.

The ending would be Second Lieutenant Nazal, along with Princess Maria, escapes from the ugly planet of Parasitis. The screen would scroll fast from right to left. You would the directional pad of your Nintendo Entertainment System's game pad to avoid obstacles before you could reach the planet's exit.
