The controls are pretty straightforward, the A button is used for jumping and the B button for spinning especially in the RAMP stage. Just like any other extreme sports video game in circulation, what you do in 720 degrees is just skate, skate, skate - and do more skating. While skating galore you earn cash. You may use your cash to purchase gear like skateboards, helmets, rubber shoes, elbow pads and knee pads. The gears mentioned would have own their respective purposes. You also need to pave your way through different obstacles like swarm of bees, vehicles, and even lady who looked like a lady boy - who will actually throw a frisbee disc on your main character.
A screen shot of map below shows the MAIN park being surrounded by places that you can visit to join some action-packed skateboarding events so you can win some prestigious prizes, or simply buy some accessories. On the map screen shots, places where you can join events are shown in yellow. Accessory shops on the other hand are color coded violet. There is a CLASS select option that can be accessed by holding the LEFT, A, SELECT, START buttons altogether on your second NINTENDO ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM controller. Unfortunately newer Family Computers no longer have the START button on the second controller.
Furthermore, there is no 2 player option for this hard core game. 720 degrees may look extremely boring for younger generations - nevertheless, our fathers have enjoyed this Nintendo Entertainment System game while they're at their peak.
